How long until the waxed hair grows back?
FAQ: How long until the waxed hair grows back?
Waxed hairs will stay away for some 3-8 weeks after waxing. In general, your hair will grow slightly faster in summer than in winter. That does not mean it will last 3-8 weeks until the first hairs appear.
Hairs do not grow back all at once
Hairs do not grow simultaneously. At the moment you wax, part of the hair is at rest, and will not show any signs of growth activity. There is another part that is actually already growing, but this part is still very short and not visible. So when hair appears one week after waxing, this is not the hair you have waxed, but hair that was not yet visible one week ago and now just has grown above the skin surface.
Wax once every 2-3 weeks
Provided that your skin is not too sensitive, you can keep the overall hair growth very limited if you wax once every 2 – 3 weeks. But if you see relatively many hairs just one week after waxing, including hair that has a blunt end, you probably didn’t wax well, and the hairs were probably broken rather than pulled out.
